Agentforce for Small Business: What’s Included in Salesforce Pro Suite

If you’re a small or medium-sized business evaluating Salesforce, you’ve probably heard a lot about Agentforce. But most of the buzz focuses on Enterprise-tier capabilities that are out of reach for most SMBs. The real question is: what does Agentforce for small business actually look like in practice? The answer lives in Salesforce Pro Suite — Salesforce’s offering built specifically for growing teams — and it’s worth understanding exactly what AI features you get out of the box.

With Salesforce’s long, hard push towards Agentforce, it’s important for small and medium-sized businesses to understand today what AI capabilities overall are contained in the Pro Suite, Salesforce’s offering targeting small and medium-sized businesses. Pro Suite is our recommended starting point with Salesforce for most SMBs.

For small businesses exploring Agentforce, Pro Suite is the right place to start — and it comes with more built-in AI than most people realize.

Salesforce Pro Suite includes quite a few useful built-in Agentforce AI features. These are designed for growing teams and do not require separate high-tier Agentforce licenses, or consumption-based pricing as in Enterprise Edition, though consumption-based pricing is available for Pro Suite users if a pay-as-you-go plan is preferred.

AI Features Included in Pro Suite

Employee Agent (Conversational AI Assistant)

A built-in conversational agent that works alongside users. You can use natural language prompts to:

  • Summarize records instantly.
  • Retrieve customer details.
  • Draft personalized emails and communications.
  • Log activities.
  • Update records without manual navigation.
  • Works together with Connected Insights.
  • Integrated with Salesforce Mobile.

Einstein Conversation Insights (ECI)

Analyzes video call recordings to generate transcripts and insights.

Einstein Activity Capture

This feature automatically syncs emails, calendar events, and contacts from your connected email/calendar accounts (Microsoft 365/Outlook or Google Workspace/Gmail) into Salesforce.

How it works:

  • You connect your email/calendar account once.
  • Relevant emails and events are automatically logged as Activities (Tasks, Events, Emails) on the correct Lead, Contact, Account, or Opportunity records.
  • It captures participants, content, and context without you having to manually forward emails or log meetings.
  • Admins control settings (e.g., which folders or types of emails to capture, privacy rules).

Benefits:

  • Saves significant time on data entry.
  • Ensures the whole team has a complete, up-to-date view of customer interactions.
  • Supports better follow-ups and handoffs.

Connected Insights

AI-driven insights and context that come from captured activities and other CRM data.

It includes:

  • Relationship history and timeline views showing all interactions in one place.
  • AI-powered summaries and recommendations (via the Employee Agent in Pro Suite).
  • Activity metrics and dashboards (e.g., engagement trends, response times).
  • Intelligent suggestions, such as next-best actions or flagging important threads.

In short, Activity Capture feeds the data in automatically, while Connected Insights turns that data into actionable intelligence.

Key Notes for Pro Suite Users

  • It works alongside the Employee Agent (conversational AI) for even more value, such as asking the AI to summarize a contact’s recent activity.
  • Privacy and security controls are strong — users/admins decide what gets shared.

With the Employee Agent, Einstein Activity Capture and Connected Insights, Salesforce has delivered a pretty nice package of starter Agentforce features to help with internal productivity for its customers using Pro Suite.

Unfortunately, Salesforce provides no ability to add any other Agentforce features to Pro Suite. To get access to richer features in Agentforce for Sales or Service for example, Pro Suite users must upgrade to Enterprise Edition.

Conclusion

Overall, small and medium-sized businesses researching Agentforce for small business will find a fair and genuinely useful AI feature set inside Pro Suite. The internal-productivity focused features are very good, especially Employee Agent coupled with Connected Insights. The lack of some Agentforce for Sales feature inclusions, to help these businesses grow, is however disappointing. Finally, the inability to add-on Agentforce for Sales or Service, indeed any Agentforce core capabilities, without upgrading to Enterprise Edition is a real disservice to Salesforce’s SMB Pro Suite customers.
